Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery
This is a new and revolutionary modification of a variety of established surgical operations for a number of common foot conditions carried out by a small number of elite orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeons in the UK. Principally, the surgery performs osteotomies to remove bony prominences through minute incisions under X-ray control. The techniques lead to decreased soft tissues injury as well as decreased postoperative pain, swelling and bruising. This can be helpful for bunion deformity (hallux valgus), osteotomy of the heel bone and cheilectomy of hallux rigidus.
