Mr Sean Curry
MB BS FRCS (Tr&Orth)
Mr Sean Curry is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in knee and hip problems as well as treating a variety of fractures.
“I graduated from London Hospital Medical College in 1992. During my post-grad training, I worked at various hospitals throughout London, including Great Ormond Street, Barts and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and I was lucky enough to go on two fellowships to Australia, where I worked with Australia’s top knee surgeons.”
“On my return to the UK, I finished my training at The Royal London Hospital before moving to a consultant post at The Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. In 2002, I was appointed Orthopaedic Consultant to St Bart’s and The Royal London Hospitals. “
“After battling with the inefficiencies and frustrations of life as a consultant surgeon in the NHS for almost 10 years, I left in 2011 to dedicate myself to quality in the private sector. I was honoured to be invited to join the consultant body of King Edward VII’s Hospital in May 2013.
"I came to you last year regarding my knees. I had a few injections and I must say that I am almost fully recovered. I am now back to doing my activities – long-distance swimming and cycling. I am now training and hoping to swim across the English Channel in a few years’ time."
"Absolutely brilliant care from Mr Curry"
"Mr Curry did a flawless perfect job with my lateral meniscus knee surgery. 4 months after my surgery, I was able to climb 6,000 meters to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro with absolutely no knee issues. I highly recommend Mr. Curry as a best-in-class, trustworthy orthopaedic surgeon. He is a master at his craft."
"My wife saw Mr Curry last September and was greatly encouraged by the time, interest and advice that he gave her. He suggested that she saw Justin Coulter, which she did and his footbeds were particularly helpful. We’ve just come back from a few days’ skiing which were extremely successful and my wife was almost back to her old self! She just wanted to say a big thank you to you both!!!"
“A very caring surgeon, explained my procedure well before and after. He saw me and arranged for surgery very quickly. He deserves his reputation my rheumatologist who referred me to him as "one of the two best knee men in the country"
"Mr Curry visited me 1 week after a hip injury and femur surgery. He explained to me well, gently but accurately, what happened, consequences and risks and recovery path. He seemed knowledgeable and balanced, and provided me with guidance and motivation to recover sustainably. He also gave me a helpful recommendation for the physiotherapist. I hope I will keep having a good experience with him and his staff during my entire recovery plan.”
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for agreeing to see me. My GP referred me to you for diagnosis and treatment for an injury suffered the day before. You provided prompt care and reassurance that the fracture was the source of my pain.”
“We have returned to the US, and I am under the care of our primary physician... Again, thank you for your care and reassurance that the fracture will likely heal without surgical intervention."
"Mr Curry is very professional and serious. I definitely recommend him. I liked The London Orthopaedic Clinic very much."
“Everything was perfect. The consultant was very helpful and professional and I would recommend him to anyone looking for knee treatment. I would recommend Mr. Sean Curry and the London Orthopaedic Clinic. Mr Curry explained the situation very well and gave me several options for treatment if this one does not work out.”
“I was extremely satisfied and 100% confident with Mr Curry.”
