Mr Nitin Shetty is a Consultant in Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery with a special interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), degenerative conditions affecting the back and neck and infections and fractures of the spine.
I have graduated from India and completed a postgraduate degree in Orthopaedics in India. I trained as a registrar on the London-KSS deanery. Subsequently, I completed two spinal fellowships at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and then at Guys and St.Thomas Hospital.
I have been trained in Spinal deformity cases and also in Minimally Invasive surgical procedures. Most of my cases are carried out using an operating Microscope. I have been involved in full time research in the past and this has led to a degree by submission of a thesis. I have published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. I am actively involved in teaching and training of junior trainees and Orthopaedic registrars.
I have an interest in Minimally Invasive Spinal operations. My present work includes degenerative spinal conditions, infection and fractures.
