Matthew James MB ChB, FRCS(eng), FRCS (plastics) BAAPS BSSH

Matt James is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS trust. He
specialise in hand wrist and upper limb reconstructive
surgery. He also provides a reconstructive service to
many NHS Hospitals in south London. Matt has
performed thousands of successful operations during
his surgical career. He has trained in many of the best
plastic surgical centres in the UK and Australia. 

During his career, Matt has attended has published
and presented at many international meetings on
plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery. He is
responsible for organising advanced hand and wrist
surgery training courses at the Royal College of
Surgeons. Matt works closely with a dedicated team
of anaesthetists, radiologists, nurses and rehabilitation
therapists, and is supported by an excellent
administrative team.
