Arthritis of the shoulder

Symptoms may include pain, stiffness and limited shoulder use. Treatment can include analgesia, anti-inflammatory medication, physiotherapy or steroid injections into the joint. Surgery for joint replacement may be considered if other treatment methods have not been successful. Shoulder replacement offers a 90% chance of success in terms of pain relief and function.
